The First Official Report Card is in...

So Malakai received his very first report card yesterday and today is our first parent-teacher conference. Can't say that we were extremely suprised at his marks...seems he is just like his Daddy when it comes to Kindergarten. Grandpa says he was the same way too. Here are the results:

S=Strenght D= Developing C=concern

Malakai was assessed in the following areas:

Cooperative Worker
Quality Worker
Self-Directed Learner
Personal Growth
Physical Development
Explorations (Music, Art, Science, PE)

Under each category were several statement with a "grade" attached. He received 19 "D"s. He received 4 "C"s. And he received 4 "S"s.

Here were the comments that he received C's for:

participates actively and appropriately (this is his silliness that we need to tone-down...class clown).
Respects others personal space (guess we'll find out more about this today).
Follows group directions (poor little guy is bored out of his mind).
Demonstrates problem solving skills (hmmm).

AND here is where he got his BEST marks:

Cooperates and interacts positively with others.
Respects property of school and others.
Respects rights, feelings and ideas of others.
Shows persistence.

Malakai will receive two more report cards this year and we hope to see many of those "D"s move to "S." AND NO C's allowed on the next report card!
