7 Years----Wedding Anniversary

So we celebrated 7 years yesterday, August 25th. I always enjoy watching the wedding video and this year I watched it with Malakai for the first time...it was pretty funny listening to him make comments and ask questions. He thought a baby picture of daddy was him! Terry planned a awesome experience in a hot air balloon for us but unfortunately it started to rain and thunderstorm so the activity was cancelled. We went to have appetizers and drinks at Daniel's in Bellevue and then to the Melting Pot for dinner and dessert. It was a nice evening. I took a couple photos of the collage I made for Terry. Sometimes my creative juices get the "itch" and I decided to make him something that would bring back several memories from the 12 years we've been together! He also enjoyed the digital photo frame I got him and loaded with pics of the kids.

Little Gym Party for Maliyah

Maliyah's party was a success! She had 12 friends including her brother! Our friends from California are in town this week so it was a special treat to have them at the party too! Most of her friends are from her little gym class and a few others are children of our close friends. I think all the little ones had a lot of fun and Maliyah was in an especially good mood! She had a "Dora" themed party and received many wonderful Dora gifts...and zero duplicates! She also received some coloring books, markers, and other craft activities that she will very much enjoy! Now the the kiddos have had their birthdays and the summer is winding down, I feel like I can start and really prepare myself for Malakai starting school in a little over a week!

As I mentioned, we have friends in town from California...we met this couple and their beautiful little boy 3 years ago when we went on our first trip to Hawaii. Soon after we found out that both us Mommies were pregnant with girls and due at about the same time! We planned a trip to San Diego with them the following year when we were about 7 months prego. Now, two years later we all got the opportunity to hang-out again and meet the baby girls! It's been lots of fun having them in town and great growing the friendship! Today we met them in Seattle and enjoyed some time at the Pacific Science Center and got to visit the butterfly museum AGAIN! We love that place! Enjoy the slideshows!

Maliyah's 2nd Birthday

Maliyah turned 2 yesterday...we went to the park in the morning but the weather wasn't so great. She got her first manicure and did an amazing job sitting still while her paint and flowers dried. Her God-family came over in the evening for wings and cake...it was a nice time and Maliyah opened some very nice gifts. Her favorites were her new baby dolls and her puppy from grandma and grandpa. Tomorrow will be her Little Gym party with all her friends. Enjoy the slideshow.

Seattel getaway...

We received a one night stay at the Mariott Waterfront in Seattle from one of Terry's clients...so this past Seafair weekend we took the kiddos into town to visit the aquarium and the Butterfly house at the Pacific Science Center. Enjoy the slideshow.

Maliyah

One party down and one more to go. Just when I thought I would have a little time to recover from Kai's big day I have already begun planning for Maliyah's. She will turn 2 on August 21st. She will have her party at the Little Gym (her favorite place). Last year we just had a couple friends over to house - but this year we felt we needed to do something for our baby girl! Malakai has always gotten all the cool parties so why should Maliyah miss-out? Unfortunately because we're always so busy bringing Kai to his activities we have very little time to do things just for Maliyah. She still got to do her swim class this summer and a kindermusik class...but now it's just down to Little Gym. It's been much more difficult to make friends for her because wherever we go Kai is with us and I'm always juggling the two of them. I'm hoping that some of the kids from her LG class will be able to attend her party and we know a couple friends who have kids her age - so we hope they will come too. During this time of the year my parents are traveling so they haven't been able to be at either one of her first two birthdays. Maybe next year?
