School fundraiser at the skating rink! Kai had fun seeing many of his school friends and Maliyah is a pretty darn good skater!

"Barack Obama Day."

Malakai dressed-up to go to school today(his own idea I might add)...for "Barack Obama Day." What a great day in History! Maliyah and I watched the Inauguration together this morning...she knows Barack's face and everytime she see's it she exclaims, "Barack Obama!"

Gettin' his colored-wristband. Each player has a different color...this is how they know who they are gaurding. They are NOT allowed to double team. Kai was all over the place tryin' to steal the ball from everyone. It was so cute. His coach said, "hey Malakai, when they finally let you steal the ball you're going to be awesome!"

Basketball and Little Gym Class...

Let me tell you...my little man is definately the littlest on the team but he is super-fast! Right now they are trying to get the dribbling while walking (not running) - part down. It's pretty cute to watch them dribble, pick the ball up, run (while not dribbling), dribble again, and then throw the ball up into space! Most of the kids can't even reach the lowered rim...but there are one or two kids about a head and a half taller than Kai that can get it up there. Now it's just learning to pass to them and learning the rules (even just a little bit). Games start this Saturday...that should be interesting.

Maliyah is doing so well in Little Gym class the teacher had mentioned to me that she will most likely be a "Little Flip"- if we are interested. This is there youngest invitation only "team" that performs and prepares for competition. It is very exclusive and she would have to pass a skill test before 3 years old. I think she'll be ready! Hopefully I can get the video to download but if it's too long sometimes it doesn't work...enjoy the photos!

James Family Visit to Vegas-

We spent 5 days in Vegas where it was a bit colder than normal...but sunny and blue skies (I'll take it)! We had a ton of fun. The kids spent most of the week with their cousins and during the day we hung-out with Nany and Poppa. Terry's Dad is doing well, he's very tired but is hangin' in there! Hopefully he will get his kidney transplant soon! We're praying for that!

It is always great to watch the kids play with their cousins...Malakai cries everytime we leave and this time he even made-up a cute song about missing his cousins. Malakai especially loves his time in Vegas because his cousin William is the same age and they are two peas-in-a-pod!

Terry and I got to go out quite a bit this time - I didn't know I could still "shake-it" like that:) We had fun dancing and gambling...the best part is that Terry and I both won on this trip and basically paid for the trip and then some! YAHOOO! It was good to see both families this year over the holidays but I definately do NOT enjoy all the packing, unpacking and catching-up with holiday "un-decorating" when we return! I'm over my head in laundry! With more snow coming down right as I write this blog I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to catch-up tomorrow!
